The basic task of the First Children's Embassy in the World "Megjashi", is to carry out the United Nations Declaration and Conventions on Children's Rights.

Muhamed A. (37) from Skopje, raped his daughter for 2 years, after he divorced his wife. The raped girl could not take the torture anymore and reported him to her mother S.A. which filed a complaint with the police immediately. 

Raped his 13 year-old niece for a whole year

The publicity stays on amazed from the frequent and ghastly incest cases everyday, which number increases from day to day. Nobody remains apathetic after discover and discloser of the tragic destiny of a 6-year-old girl, who after some months of sexual abuse got a pregnant from her father, as well as the strange destiny of the mother abused from its son, who in alcohol state brutalized and sexual abused the mother.

For the case of the two little girls who have been raped for three months by their father and his friend, the public prosecutor’s office should bring a process for criminal accountability against the Center for Social welfare.

The First Children’s Embassy in the World Megjashi asked for liability from the intermunicipal Center for Social welfare in Skopje, regarding the last case of pedophilia, where the father raped his two juvenile daughters. According to Children’s Embassy Megjashi incest wouldn’t have happened if the center hasn’t entrusted them to the S.S(34) and hasn’t allowed him to see his daughters at age of seven and eight, despite knowing that he is alcoholic and suspect of thefts.

The maximum arrest punishement for the pedofillers,which is riching and up to 10 years,may be a content period about resocializing of these persons. Unfortunately,there is no a content number of experts in the country,who would work with them and would direct corectly,say the authorities.

Another two teenagers raped by close acquaintances

A father of a minor, had raped his daughter for two years, an uncle had sexually harassed his 14 years old (daughter of a cousin), a father with his friend sexually abused his two daughters. These headlines on the news, lately, confirm the everyday abusive behavior and presence of pedophilia in Macedonia.

Social chat rooms are dangerous for children as well

With the so far implementation of the campaign, more than 2.000 citizens and 10 companies donated 300.000 denars in the Fund for support of children and youth – victims of sexual abuse. These finances during April, 2009, through open call announcement in the daily news papers and decision made by independent commission, are assigned to four victims of sexual abuse an to two civil organizations, that in the next few mounts will be working on exceeding of the consequences from sexual abuse and prevention of future similar acts over children and youth.

First World Children’s Embassy MEGJASHI is part of the international network Child Helpline International – which unites SOS services for help of children from the countries world wide. The international day of the SOS lines took part for its celebration on the 17 of May.

More than 17 thousand calls for help connected with abuse and violence upon children and juvenile delinquency were registered at the red phone of the First World Children’s Embassy MEGJASHI.

There is an information about increasing of 25% in the number of registered phone calls of children who call SOS helpline and complained that their are sexually and psychologically abused by their parents. From total sum of calls 360 during the last year, 140 were from sexually abused children by their parents.

In Macedonia there are 2000 children who beg in the streets every day. They are the most often victims of violence. I believe that when these children will be included in the educational system this event will be decreased .

During the May 2009, Children Embassy Megjashi, in cooperation with the partner organizations of the towns Kumanovo (HO Mother), Tetovo (Center of Balkan Cooperation- Ljoja), Prilep (Center for Citizen’s Initiative), Kavadarci (Council for prevention of child delinquency), Strumica (Center for possible development-Gate) and Kichevo(Woman Citizen initiative Antic), have prepared questionnaire for the research of the children’s rights situation in Macedonia.

We are very glad to inform you that the First Children’s Embassy in the World Megjashi continues this year with the activities regarding the Global Action Week Campaign for Education that is internationally organized every year by the Global March against Child Labour. The main objective of the campaign is inclusion of every child in education, and providing literacy for all.

The daily centre for children which don`t go to school is has been functioning in the Children`sembassy of June 2007.

1.Couple of words about First World Children’s Embassy Megjashi, about its beginnings, its activities and care.

During the period from March till May 2009 in the cashboxes placed all over Macedonia by Firs Children’s Embassy in the World, citizens donated 104.552.00 denars.

Considering the need of more effective working into the fight against the discrimination,the UNION Macedonia without discrimination,where the Children`s Embassy Megjashi is an active member,after 1 year unformal working  decided to formalise own existing.

On 29.05.2009 year was happened a meeting of the Civil platform of Macedonia when were accepted several reports of the working,including and the realization of the previous programme,as well as the next strategic targets:
